About the creator

Cumulus Rainwear by Aurelie Aertgeerts

Belgian

"Travel light while staying elegant"—this is the promise of Cumulus Rainwear, a Belgian brand of raincoats and waterproof accessories that combines timeless style, high quality, and environmental responsibility. Founded in 2012 by Françoise Pendville and taken over in 2022 by Aurélie Aertgeerts, Cumulus offers a sustainable alternative to fast fashion, with long-lasting rainwear designed to accompany you for years. Designed in Brussels and made in Europe, our raincoats are carefully crafted in the Rafice workshop in Romania, where a small team of experts works with passion and precision. Our waterproof and water-repellent fabrics come from Lamintess in Tuscany, a specialist since 1965, certified Oeko-Tex, REACH, and PFC-Free. These labels guarantee a production process free of toxic substances and harmful chemicals, ensuring safety for both your skin and the environment. At Cumulus Rainwear, every decision is made to reduce our ecological footprint. We produce only one collection per year, avoiding waste and minimizing the impact of repeated shipments. Our materials are carefully selected: certified fabrics, organic cotton ribbons from Italy, and buttons and zippers sourced in Brussels. We take sustainability even further with a zero-waste approach: fabric scraps are used to calibrate sewing machines, leftover ribbons are repurposed for finishing touches, and our Brussels office runs on solar energy. Choosing Cumulus Rainwear means embracing long-lasting, responsible fashion designed to withstand time without going out of style. More than just a garment, our raincoats are an investment in sustainability, offering elegance, comfort, and environmental respect. Join the slow fashion movement and discover our collection on Wimzzi. With Cumulus Rainwear, face the rain in style and with an eco-conscious mindset.
