Today, let’s talk about photos. Because deep down, you know it: your work deserves to shine. What you create is beautiful, meaningful, and made with love. But if your pictures don’t show it properly, you might lose clicks… and sales. And that would be a shame, right?
At Wimzzi, we want to help you cross that little line that changes everything — showing your talent in the best light, with photos that speak, that touch people, that make them want to click. No need to be a pro photographer: with some good light, care and consistency, you can already do wonders.
Let’s start with the basics. Natural light is your best friend. A table near a window, a clean background, and a stable phone or camera (even an upside-down mug can work as a tripod!) — and you’re good to go. No flash, no backlight, just soft daylight that shows off every detail.
Frame carefully: show the full product first, then zoom in on the texture, the finish, the soul of what you’ve made.
A bit of styling can help: light wood, a dry leaf, a hand using the object… It brings the item to life, gently. Most of all: keep it consistent. Better to have a calm, clean series than a messy mix. Your shop should feel harmonious and clear.
And if taking photos is just not your thing? We’ve got your back. Wimzzi organizes professional photoshoots for artisans regularly. It’s also a good moment to review your titles, descriptions, and translations — everything that can boost your presence on the site. These shoots are useful, fun and inspiring.
And visibility? It follows naturally: shops with great photos get featured on the homepage, in newsletters, ads and contests. It’s fair, it works- and it gets results.
Photos are important, but titles matter too. There are over 230 creators on the platform and more than 3,000 items online. We can’t rewrite everything for you - and your title is what shows up first on Google or social media.
So be clear and precise. “Violetta Earrings” or “Handmade Lavender Soap” works better than acronyms like "E.R” or “Violetta 2”. Keep it simple, strong, and with no spelling mistakes.
What I love about Wimzzi shoots is seeing creations come to life in front of my camera. A soap turns into a sculpture, a pair of earrings tells a story… And no need for a fancy studio - with some daylight and lots of love, we create magic!
About price: be strategic. A round number or a psychological price like €19.99 or €20 looks better than something like €17.83. And make sure your prices on Wimzzi match what you charge elsewhere — it’s a question of trust, clarity and brand image.
And don’t forget thematic tags! For special occasions like 'Mother’s Day' or 'Father’s Day', we run dedicated campaigns. If your creations are tagged properly, they’re more likely to be seen and clicked.
Last but not least: translations! Wimzzi is trilingual. Translate your product pages into Dutch 🇳🇱 and French 🇫🇷 (you can use Google Translate or DeepL). It only takes two minutes — and it really helps you get found on Google.
